Patients play a vital part in improving the way local health services are delivered to best meet their community’s needs. Patient Voice Groups (also known as Patient Reference Groups or Patient Participation Groups) provide a link between a local GP practice and the patients it serves.
Health Summits are run by CRCCG and bring together staff and Patient Voice Group representatives from all GP practices in the local area. They are designed to facilitate close relationships between Patient Voice Groups and practice staff and for GP surgeries to share best practice. Attendees will receive updates on the work of CRCCG and occassional training sessions will be offered to help representatives get the most out of their activities. Currently summits are organised in both Coventry and Rugby to ensure the focus is as local as possible. As a member of a Patient Voice Group you should receive feedback from every Health Summit and could volunteer to attend as your group’s representative.
