In Coventry and Rugby there are currently a number of General Practices which are procured through an Alternative Medical Service Contract. These contracts are time-limited, and we have four practices whose current contracts will expire on March 2020. These practices are:
- Stoke Aldermoor Surgery
- Foleshill Surgery
- Broad Lane Surgery
- City of Coventry Healthcare Centre
This means that we need to consider how general medical services will be provided when these contracts expires, to ensure that we are commissioning high quality services for our entire population, which make the best use of the resources that we have, both now and in the future.
With this in mind, there are several possible scenarios for each practice. You can find out more about the possible scenarios here.
The CCG is now undertaking a period of engagement to understand what matters most to local patients and stakeholders, prior to making any decisions. The information attached outlines the options the CCG will consider, and the engagement we will undertake to inform our decision.
