The NHS in Coventry and Rugby has been working together with clinical teams and patient groups to develop more services to provide care closer to where people live.
As a result, a service has been developed to provide alternative venues for electrocardiogram (ECG) treatment. For the first time, it means you do not have to go to the hospital for this simple test which monitors your heart whilst you undertake your normal activities.
A leaflet has been produced to provide information about the new Community ECG Clinics which have trained and qualified Health Care Assistants to fit and remove your device at a pre-arranged appointment.
Data from the device will be reviewed by expert cardiology staff and sent to your GP for further treatment or advice.
